Village One is a worker-owned studio for ethical design + tech. We are an experienced team of researchers, designers and developers, working with clients big and small on their digital projects.
We champion economic democracy and social justice, which is why we are incorporated as a worker’s cooperative, collectively owned by all employees. Our work focuses on projects in the areas of journalism, democracy and media.
Since 2022 we’ve teamed up with clients such as the Sovereign Tech Agency, the Prototype Fund, DIE ZEIT, CORRECTIV, Publix, Youth Policy Labs, Neue deutschen Medienmacher*innen, Media Lab Bayern, Start into Media, TypeMates, HvD Fonts, PLATTE, Dekoder, Liquid Democracy or the European Cultural Foundation.
Those clients booked us for projects such as designing visual identities, strategic rebrandings, website relaunches + data migration, digital strategy and conceptual work, launch of custom online shops, design and implementation of digital products, apps and platforms, technical audits, SEO reviews, as well as improving digital accessibility.
